My national service reflects sustained engagement with the scholarly, creative, and organizational life of Performance Studies. Through editorial work, committee leadership, and disciplinary service, I contribute to shaping conversations, supporting emerging scholars, and advancing inclusive practices within the field.

Editor
I serve on the editorial board of Text and Performance Quarterly, contributing to the peer-review process and supporting the development of scholarship that advances performance theory, practice, and methodology. This role allows me to help shape rigorous, interdisciplinary work and mentor scholars through the publication process.
Contributing Editor
As a Contributing Editor for Liminalities: A Journal of Performance Studies, I serve as a first point of contact for prospective authors and collaborators. In this role, I help shape issue themes, support the development of experimental and multimodal scholarship, and contribute to editorial conversations about the direction of the journal. This work allows me to participate directly in cultivating innovative approaches to performance studies publishing and mentoring scholars through creative and scholarly production.

I serve on the Interpretation/Performance Studies Division’s Selection Committee for the National Communication Association, where I review and evaluate scholarship and for national recognition. This role involves careful, equitable assessment and supports the visibility of innovative performance research and practice across the field.

I serve on another Performance Studies Division’s Awards Selection Committee within NCA, where I review and evaluate scholarly and creative work for national recognition. This role involves careful, equitable assessment and supports the visibility of innovative performance research and practice across the field.
PR/Social Media Chair
In my role as PR/Social Media Co-Chair, I support communication, visibility, and engagement for the Black Caucus and the African American Communication and Culture Division. This work includes amplifying scholarly contributions, promoting events and initiatives, and fostering digital spaces that reflect the intellectual and cultural labor of Black scholars within NCA.
